Is this insurance? · 这是保险吗？
No. Ehome is your guarantor. If Ehome pays your landlord under the guarantee, you owe that sum back to Ehome, and your family's counter-guarantee stands behind it.
不是。Ehome 是您的担保人。如果 Ehome 根据担保向房东付款，您须向 Ehome 偿还该款项，并由家人的反担保作支撑。
Will every landlord accept Ehome? · 所有房东都接受 Ehome 吗？
Most do once they see the pre-approval certificate and verify it. Some have their own rules; we are happy to speak to a landlord or agent directly.

How long does pre-approval take? · 预批需要多长时间？
Usually a few working days once your identity is verified and your documents or affordability check are complete.

Within 14 days of signing the service agreement, yes. See Fees for what is refunded.

Only through the portal, to Ehome's official company account. We never ask for WeChat, Alipay or personal-account transfers. See the Payment Security Notice.

Glossary · 术语表
- Guarantor — the person or company who promises the landlord the rent will be paid.
担保人——向房东承诺租金将得到支付的个人或公司。 - Guarantee deed — the signed document in which Ehome makes that promise to your landlord.
担保契据——Ehome 向您的房东作出该承诺的签署文件。 - Counter-guarantee — your family's promise to Ehome, backing the guarantee.
反担保——您家人向 Ehome 作出的承诺，作为担保的支撑。 - Tenancy deposit — money your landlord holds against damage or unpaid rent, in a government-approved scheme.
租房押金——房东以政府认可的方案持有的、用于抵扣损坏或欠租的款项。 - Arrears — rent that was due and has not been paid.
欠款——已到期但未支付的租金。 - Assured shorthold tenancy (AST) — the usual form of private tenancy in England.
